Obituary for Jack Evans

Jack Evans of Bloomington, Indiana went home to heaven on Wednesday, July 10th. Jack was 92 years old, born September 19, 1926.
Jack was retired from RH Marlin Company, and Member of Operating Engineers Union Local 841. He was a published author and a member of Gideon's International, he did Jail and prison ministry, and traveled and ministered internationally. He was also a member of Little Union Baptist Church where he was a long time Deacon.
Jack is survived by 3 children, Elaine Prince (husband Jack), Peggy Dick (husband Alan), and Brad Evans. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mary Jane Rader and Betty Love; and one brother John Evans; 14 grandchildren, Frank Conard, Don Conard (wife Shelly) and Joe Conard; Brian Strain, and Isaac Strain (wife Sara); Lisa Stafford and Stephanie Nader (husband Michael); Kacey Barrow and Jared Evans, Jason Fox, Randy Evans, Duston Evans, Moriah Evans and Miranda Evans, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Marlin Evans, parents Jesse and Laura Evans, daughter Connie Rogers Conard, son Randy Evans, 3 brothers, Raymond Evans, Donald Evans and David Evans and a sister, Martha Jean Morgan and great grandson Brayden Fox.
Services for Jack will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard. Pastors Glen Stidd and Jeff Hauersperger will officiate the service and burial will follow at Payne Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel and again on Tuesday from noon until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Gideon International.
