Obituary for Kimberly Ann Herbin

Kimberly Ann Herbin, 46, of Bloomington, passed away Friday July 12th at the IU Health Hospice House after an 18 month long battle with colo-rectal cancer surrounded by family and dear friends. Kim was born January 19th, 1973 in Bloomington, Indiana to Charles "Butch" and Bonita "Bonnie" (Tackett) Stout.

Kim had a love for helping people without judgement. She took many people into her home and helped them until they could make it on their own. She was an avid animal lover that also opened her home to many "4 legged" strays as well. She never turned a soul away. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and making memories with her children. Her network of friends spanned the nation, who she always made time for.

Her kindness and love for help didnt just stop at home. She had a passion for working with special needs individuals while working for Stonebelt and MCCSC where she worked at various schools with children.

She was a graduate of Bloomington North High School and later in life had recieved several Associates degrees in the medical field. Her plans were to attend Indiana Wesleyan in the fall and start working on her Bachelor's degree in Social Work for drug addiction.

She leaves behind her soulmate Jody Secrest; 4 daughters, Mackenzie (Phillip), Madilyn (Chris), Aria, Audrey "Bean"; 1 step-daughter Brandy Secrest and her son Jalen; 2 sisters, Denise Cating (Mark), Angie Berry (Cody & Cooper); 2 brothers, Stanley Lopossa (Mary Ann), Donnie Stout; 1 sister-in-law Tracy Lantiegne (Aaron); 1 uncle, Steve Stout (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews; special family friend, Amanda; 2 little boys who loved their "NeNe", Kalael and Keyon.

She was preceded in death by both parents and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
