Mildred Marie (Byers) Moore, age 72, of Owensburg, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 surrounded by her family at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Mildred “Mid” was born to Willie R. and Agnes Mae (Sullivan) Byers on August 15, 1946 in R.R. Carlisle, Indiana. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Women of The Moose Chapter 839 of Bloomington and the American Legion Auxiliary of Bloomington. Mid enjoyed playing cards and going for rides in the country. She loved spending time with family and friends, whom she loved dearly.
Mid is survived by her son, Joseph Lee Byers of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Byers, Trenton (Brooke) Byers of Bloomington, and Joseph “JD” Byers of Owensburg; four great-grandchildren, Brayden Michael Byers, Kaelynn Rose Byers, Justin Tyler Byers II and Easton Zane Byers; two sisters, Frances (Steve) Hendrickson, Susie (Roger) Hendrickson; five brothers, John (Patty) Byers, Bill Byers, Jerry Lee (Kim) Byers, Ron Byers, and Gary (Tammy) Byers.
She was welcomed “home” by her parents and two sisters-in-law, Donna Byers and Kay Byers.
Visitation for Mid will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at The Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard to help the family with expenses.
