Roberta Lee Kent, 66, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at IU Health Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Born, June 29, 1953 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Robert and Alta Marie (Phillips) Wilson.
Roberta worked as an assembler at General Electric for five years, and she worked in the laundry service at IU Health Bloomington Hospital for 16 years.
She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Frankie Kent (Trisha), Rachel Cook (Donald) and her mother all of Bloomington, sisters, Patty Staggs (John) of Bloomington, Joann Copeland (Roy) of Woodbridge, VA; Peggy Shiflet of Greenville, SC; and Rebecca Warner (Anthony) of Brazil, brothers, George Wilson (Vicky) of Bloomington, and Leslie Wilson (Becky) of Bloomfield, grandchildren, Austin Lucas, Robert Lucas (Ramanda), Alisha Lucas, Ashley Lucas, Rachelle Lucas, Dystnee Kent, and Dakota Kent, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, Axel Lucas, Arabella Lucas, and Cadence Lucas and several nieces and nephews.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Frank Kent, her father and a great-grandchild, Haven Lucas.
Visitation will be 11am-1pm Friday, August 2, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will 1pm Friday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Anthony Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
