Gary Lee “Henry” Kinser, age 72, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at his residence on Monday, August 26, 2019. He was born on May 7, 1947 in Bloomington to Cecil Ellsworth and Hazel Belle (Hillenburg) Kinser. In his early days, Gary had his own drywall company. In his later years, he was a farmer and a mentor to many younger farmers. He enjoyed his farming family at Rosie’s Diner. Gary enjoyed racing, hunting, and farming.
Gary is survived by his children, Dallas Kinser, Tammy Lucas (Thomas), Shane Kinser, and Brandi Kinser, grandchildren, Lindsey Hughes (Nathan), Dawson Kinser, Josh Lentz, John Snapp, Taylor Ping, Montana Kinser, and Makinley Kinser, great-grandchildren, Bo, Benjamin, Madalynn, Cayden, Adalynn, and Ava, sisters, Peggy Prince, Betty Kay Elkins, and Jo Kinser, and his dog, Buffy.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Kinser and his parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
