Sandra Kay (Hill) Vibbert of Bowling Green, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 26th 2019 at Kosciuosko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Indiana following complications resulting from a recent fall. She was born April 29th, 1942 to John and Sarah Hill in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a long time resident of both Indianapolis and Nashville Indiana. Sandy was retired from AT&T as well as being the owner/proprietor along with her husband, of the Biscuit Pantry restaurant.
Sandy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her numerous church friends throughout the years. Sandy was a woman of deep faith, which was a blessing to all her knew her. She was a former member of New Life Community Church and South Union Christian Church and Owen Valley Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed Bible studies, word games and spending Kohl's Cash. Sandy had a love for Israel and one of the highlights of her life was visiting the Holy Land with her daughters in 2012.
Sandy, always the jokester, enjoyed a hearty laugh, and an affection for Southern Gospel and worship music. Rarely did she pass a garage sale or thrift store that she didn't find time to take a detour for. Known as “granny, grandma and Sammo” to those who knew her best, she was friend to the outcast and fervant prayer warrior for those she loved.
Sandy celebrated 52 years of marriage with Roy Curtis Vibbert, who preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by one son, Roy Curtis (Bud) Vibbert, Jr (Jennifer) of Spencer, two daughters, Darla (Randy) Foreman of Warsaw, and Vicki Vibbert of Indianapolis, six grandchildren, Vincent Vibbert, Kelsi Rea, Jordan Foreman, Evan Vibbert, Josiah Vibbert and Nicole Vibbert, nine great grandchildren, Madaleine, Olivia, Liam and Logan Rea and Miriam, Liora, Opal, Marnie and Lilias Foreman, brothers Paul (Marilyn) Hill, Robert Hill, and Donald Hill, sisters Alma Marshall, and Bonnie Burger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandy lived with her brother Paul Hill and his wife Marilyn for the past four and a half years, allowing her to live the quality of life that she desired, despite numerous besetting illnesses.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
