Obituary for Karl Mills

Karl Mills, age 57, of Unionville, Indiana passed away at his residence after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 13, 2019. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana to John and Margaret (Mayo) Mills on April 8, 1962. When his sons were young, the song “Cats in The Cradle” was a motivator for him being involved in all aspects of his children’s lives. He was an Assistant Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts, where his sons became Eagle Scouts, as well as attending all athletic and school events. He loved his sons dearly and made them a priority in his life. Karl was the Director of Manufacturing of Socks at For Bare Feet, Inc. and master technician of computerized knitting machines, which contributed to the success of the company. He was a world renowned expert for computerized knitting technology as people would call from around the world for his expertise. Karl loved spending time on the water boating and water skiing.
Karl is survived by his sons, Greg Mills (Henry Malone) and Brian Mills (Catherine Brassell), their mother, Sheree Mills, brother, David Mills, niece Rachael Mills, step-mother, Elizabeth Mills, and half-sisters, Ann and Ellen Mills.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Karl’s life will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Riddle Point Shelter House on Lake Lemon, 7599 North Tunnel Road Unionville, Indiana.
