We were so sorry to hear of Isaac's passing. We did not know him but are related through Isaac's father's family (Uncle Maury's children). You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of mourning.

I remember in class how Isaac had a knack for telling a great story or asking a perceptive question, and how his close friends cared very much about him. I taught him more than a dozen years ago in HS, yet enjoyed keeping in touch with him ever since. I will miss him!

One work weekend, Isaac and I decided to clean out the composters together. I swear we were competing to see who could get done the fastest! That was just one of the many tasks you saw Isaac doing. He was a true Elf in every way! His laugh is something that can never be erased from my mind. He was always cheering everyone on, it was pure love. Even when he was being a brat, he was coming from a place of love. I have so much to say but I honestly am not good at putting it into words. Shaman circle, I am holding you all in my heart and I am so sorry for your hurting. I wish I could be there with you all. I hope there is a music jam at Loth for him sometime. Some of my favorite memories are playing music with him 💖🌈

Although I wasn't privileged to know Isaac, I have been friends for many years with his mother, Dr. Caren Lettofsky. We went to breakfast just a month ago, and, sitting across from her, I admired a new and unusual pendant which she had added to the Star of David that she always wore. She proudly explained that Isaac had created the pendant for her; she took it off for a moment so that I could examine it closely--it was lovely--and gave me a business card for his jewelry-making business. I could see the pride in Caren's eyes for her son's creativity, and it breaks my heart that such ability is now lost to all of us.

I met Isaac through his mother, Dr. Caren Lettofsky. She was a co-worker in my department at the State of Indiana, and we have remained friends for over 20 years.
Caren brought Isaac and his brother Philip to the office one afternoon, and I was immediately charmed. Isaac was a little guy, I'm going to guess about 7 or 8. I think he may have been wearing a Star Wars shirt, and that got the conversational ball rolling. It turns out that we both loved Jar Jar Binks-the only people in the entire world who did. I was delighted!
Over the years, Caren would often speak of her boys, and I felt proud to know a fellow Jar Jar fan. I met him as an adult a few times, but was never able to get to know him very well. I regret that so much. I would have liked him very much. He was a helluva man. Bright blessings, Isaac, and rest easy.
