Obituary for William Edward "Bill" Snapp

William Edward Snapp passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2019. He was born in New Albany, Indiana on May 26, 1935 to Norman McCabe Snapp and Genevieve B. Wheeler Snapp.
Bill graduated from Bloomington High School in 1953, and went on to attend Indiana University and graduate in 1957 with a degree in Physical Ed. He was President of his Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and rode four years in the “Little 500” bicycle race.
After a stint in the Navy, Bill joined the National Homes Company as a salesman in Bloomington. He was transferred to Lafayette, IN., Elmira, N.Y., Pittsburgh, PA, and finally to Alexandria, VA., where he developed his own Home Construction Co. Moving on to Myrtle Beach, S.C., he formed a Beach House Construction Co. Bill retired to Bloomington, IN in the late 1990’s and became an Insurance Salesman until 2017.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Jinger Jane Snapp of San Diego, CA, and sons, Timothy Marker Snapp of Indianapolis, IN, and Vincent Edward Snapp of S.C. He is also survived by his brother, David Thomas Snapp (Brenda), and sisters, Sharleen Snapp Myers and Norma Jean Fitzgerald (Patrick), and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Funeral Mass in remembrance and celebration of Bill’s life on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2222 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests support for The American Heart Association.
