So sorry to hear of Doug's passing. We had so many fun times together with all of you when we all lived on Hayes Drive. Your family was on one end and we were in the curve on the other end. We kept the roads busy between our houses. Keeping all of you in my prayers. May God be with you all during this difficult time. Brenda Branam Hanners.

Doug has been a staple in my family’s life for almost the past decade. I have fond memories of playing euchre with him when my dad would come to visit. Doug was a great euchre player and often cleaned house when partnered with my dad. I will miss his great personality, his laughter, and all of the stories from his life that he would share when we had gatherings. Doug was a great guy and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Doug has been like family for the past seven years and we loved him so much. Doug was incredibly kind and generous and always a joy to be with. We have all been blessed to know Doug and will dearly miss his smile, his uplifting spirit and his companionship. We are sad to lose such a wonderful person, but thankful to have so many great memories of Doug to hold in our hearts. May we all feel peace and comfort knowing that Doug is in a better place.

I spent 7 wonderful years with Doug. Myself and my family loved him very dearly. Doug had a kind heart and wonderful spirit and I will be forever grateful that God allowed me to spend those years with him. So many memories, camping, boating, living, but the one love Doug had was his little girl, Heidi Washel. Heidi was Doug's beloved German Shepherd and they loved each other so much. Thank you Doug for all the wonderful things you did for not only me, but my family and especially my Mom. Mom thought the world of you and you will be forever missed by all of us. God has a special place for you now, even though you will be missed, this earth is nothing compared to the wonderful place in Heaven where you will spend eternity. Thank you and love you always, Lynne!
