Obituary for Lois Rae Baker (Uland)

Lois Rae Baker, 94, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Garden Villa surrounded by her loving family.
Born, September 8, 1925 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth (Fender) Uland.
Lois was a past President of the Lady’s Auxillary at V.F.W. Post #604, where she was a lifetime member. She was also a member of the Lady’s Auxillary at American Legion Post #18.
She was an Electrical Engineer at Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington, IN.
Lois was an avid and competitive bowler competing and traveling all across the United States. She was a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC).
She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.
Survivors include one son, Lance Wright (Patricia), one daughter, Leslie Snyder (Joe), grandchildren, Victoria Trittipo, Deena Bontrager, Julie Shields, Cheryl Harris (Kevin), James Jarrett, Todd Terrell, and Debbie Smith, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Smith, two grandchildren, Jeri Franke, and Monty Wright, two brothers, Bill and Bob Uland, and one great-grandchild, Kristopher Helmuth.
A graveside service will be 2:30pm Friday, November 8, 2019 at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Monroe County Veteran’s Honor Guard, 1800 W. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47403.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
