Cheryl Lynn Cook, 63, of Bloomington passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, November 29, 2019. Cheryl was born July 27, 1956 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Henry Christian and Annabelle Kerr Curry.
Cheryl worked at Cook Inc. for 43 years and was looking forward to retirement in a few years. She was a member of Vineyard Community Church where she sang with the worship team. Cheryl loved to travel. She took many trips to Costa Rica with her husband Pete and also went on a mission trip to Africa. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 41 years, Pete Cook; two sons, Matthew Allan Cook (Silvia) and Andrew David Cook (Daniela); grandchildren, Santiago David Cook, Eloisa Gray Cook, and Alexandra Maria Cook; sister, Myra Burnham (John); and several nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Charlotte Maciejewski; and brother David Curry.
Services for Cheryl will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor David Schunk will officiate the service with burial to follow.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, from 11:00 am until service time at The Funeral Chapel.
