Obituary for James A. "Jim" Rader

James A. “Jim” Rader, 73, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his residence. Jim was born November 19, 1946 in Monroe County and was the son of the late Della Mae (Webb) Humphrey and Elmer Hayes Rader.
Jim retired from Ralph Rogers after 37 years where he was a truck driver. He loved racing, working on motors and had a drag car with his son Shorty. He was a socializer, talker and loved to wheel and deal.
Survivors include his wife Judith “Judy” Rader; Children, Lori (Ron) Thomas, Tracie (Rusty) Lester, Tammy (Rob) Fritz, Kevin (Renee) Rader, Jim “Shorty” (Sheila) Rader, Jimmy (Claudell) Livingston, and Mark Livingston; Grandchildren, Keelea (Mitch) Kile, Taylor (Trent) Kile, AJ (Taylor) Hudson, Caycee (DJ) Wright, Alex Fritz, Keaton Lester, Alyssa Livingston, Mackenzie Rader, Jake (Monica) Rader, Corbin Rader, Brodey Rader and Carson Rader; Great Grandchildren, Grifinn, Tahlen, Grier, Charli, Harper, Gavin, and Zoie; Brothers, Gerry Rader, and Jeff (Roberta) Rader; and close friend Mark Sexton.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Jerry Rader and Cleo Rader; and Sister, Janet Sue Cox
Visitation for Jim will be from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Services will follow at 2:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be given to the American Lung Association.
