Glenda Ellen (Meadows) Leach, 62, of Bloomington passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her home.
Born, March 20, 1957 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Wanda (Patton) Sample, and the late Foster “Bub” Meadows.
Glenda worked hard all her life, at Bud’s Sandwich Shop, Kinser Cleaners, as a housekeeper for Don Coller, and retiring from Cook Inc.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling in previous years, and collecting Indian figurines. She also enjoyed her fur-babies, Remi, Sexy Lexy, Bubbles, and Mick and spending time with family and friends.
Glenda had a heart of gold, and will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, nanny, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved to the moon and back, and spent her life loving her family and friends the same way. Her legacy was the gift of unconditional love.
Survivors include her children, Rodney Harris, and Angela (Harris) Batchelor (Trint), two brothers, Gary Meadows (Tracy), and Jeff Meadows (Denise Day), step-son, Brad Leach (Angie), step-brother, Bobby Sample, two grandchildren, Levi Potter, Jake Harper (Selena) and great-grandbaby to be. Her loving mother, Wanda Sample, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special aunt, Venta Hodge, and best friend, Dorene Baker.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark Leach, ex-husband and good friend, Rodney Harris Sr., brother, Jimmy Meadows, father, Foster “Bub” Meadows, and her grandparents.
Visitation will be 11am-2pm Saturday, December 21, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Justin Rains.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Funeral Chapel.
