Obituary for Sharon Arlene King

Sharon Arlene King, 81, of Bloomington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning January 30, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born August 1, 1938 in Rosedale, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes (Grieve) Cuthbertson. She worked early on at Sarkes Tarzian where she met her husband William “Bill” King and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2011. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Smithville Christian Church. Sharon found her most joy in spending time with her granddaughters and watching them play softball. Her and Bill also enjoyed camping. In her later years Sharon enjoyed family and friends that visited her and brought her goodies.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Monell Breidenstein (James); two sons, Michael King and Ray King (Donita); two granddaughters, Adrianna King and Caitlyn King, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill King (2011), her parents and siblings; Bertha Frazier, Verona Dobbs, Raymond Cuthbertson, Max Cuthbertson, and Ronnie Cuthbertson.
Visitation for Sharon will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 10:30 am until service time.
Services for Sharon will be 11:30 am Wednesday at The Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Johnson and Rev. Ron Sutherlin officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Sharon’s family would like to thank the 4th Floor Oncology Unit at IU Health Bloomington for all of their love and care in taking care of Sharon throughout her illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s memory may be given to IU Health Hospice. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
