Merry Lynn (Beckman) Pointer, age 59, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Sunday, March 1, 2020. She was born on December 19, 1960 in Bloomington to James and Betty (Baker) Beckman. Merry loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. When thinking of Merry, silly is what often times came to mind. She loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed fishing and shopping, and she loved her dog. She graduated from Edgewood High School and later worked for Sabin in Bloomington.
Merry is survived by her daughter, Ashley Wolfe (Nicholas) of Unionville, brothers, Jim Beckman of Lafayette, and Terry Beckman of Gosport, sister, Connie Headdy of Ellettsville, and several nieces and nephews.
Merry was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Danny and Gary Beckman.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer, Indiana.
