Obituary

Betty Lou Taylor, 89, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Garden Villa in Bloomington.
Betty was born May 27, 1930 in Monroe County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Ida Mae (Brown) Clark. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the Opportunity House.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Bill McCutchen of Spencer; two grandchildren, Michelle Hampton and Chantz Wood; and 5 great grandchildren, Laura, Drew, Sammi, Rori, and Gerry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Gene Taylor in 1989; her parents and siblings, George, Harry, Charles, Mary, Henrietta, Cecilia, Nellie and Virginia.
Visitation for Betty will be on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 6-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
Services will be on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11 am at The Funeral Chapel. Betty’s son-in-law Bill McCutchen will conduct the service and burial will follow at Garrison Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Betty’s memory to Heart to Heart Hospice, 478 S. Landmark Ave. Bloomington, IN 47403.

Sorry I can't make it to the viewing or the service. Betty has been a good neighbor and friend for several years. We have done a lot of things together and made a lot of good memories. And I will miss her very much.

Becky and family: I have so many great memories of Betty, going back to when we were all neighbors. Always there with a kind smile. I also remember the persimmon trees that she encouraged us to pick them.
