Obituary for Jeffrey Wayne DeFord
Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne DeFord, 64, of Bedford Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington, with friends and family by his side.
Born, January 5, 1956 in Bloomington, Indiana, Jeff was the youngest son of the late Robert F. and Geneva B. (Deckard) DeFord.
Jeff had attended Bloomington High School South and also studied at Indiana State University. He was a retired Electrician and member of the Local IBEW #725.
Jeff loved all things outdoors, especially fishing and mushroom hunting. He was an avid reader and enjoyed debating any topic.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael J. and Paul “Tim” DeFord, and a nephew, Douglas A. DeFord.
Survivors include one niece, Christina LaMar of Bloomington, and one nephew, Michael Thomas DeFord of Rice, Minnesota.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard is handling arrangements.
