Paris M. Bailey, age 74, of Spencer, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House. He fought a hard battle with Parkinson’s. Paris was born on October 17, 1945 in Cincinnati, Indiana to Joe and Lois (Price) Bailey of Bloomfield, Indiana. Paris served in the United States Army for six years. He was loved by many. Paris was a very kind hearted and simple man. He loved his animals and was an avid mushroom hunter and fisherman. Paris loved being with his good friends, and watching sports, especially Indiana University Basketball. He retired from Hall Signs in Bloomington.
Paris is survived by his wife of 43 years, Josephine “Bonnie” Bailey, two brothers, Jackie Bailey of Martinsville, Indiana and Larry Bailey of South Carolina, one sister, Jane Sutherland of Dayton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Paris was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lois Bailey, and one sister, Sue Crowe.
There will be no services at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
