Dee Axsom, 56, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020, doing one of many activities she loved. Dee was hard-working, honest, full of life, and a wonderful woman to be around. She worked at Penny Lane East for 22 years as a teacher and also owned a house cleaning service.
Dee’s world revolved around her husband of 37 years Kerry Axsom, her two children Jacob Axsom and Kadee McCloud (Darrin), and her three grandchildren Colton, Henry, and Emilia, as well as numerous friends. Dee would do anything for anyone, even a stranger. She loved her farm animals, working out, going to concerts with her friends, taking care of people, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling to see her bonus grandchildren Tor, Finn, and Britt. Dee touched the life of every child she looked after. Dee is survived by her husband Kerry, children Jake and Kadee, grandchildren Colton, Henry, and Emilia, her parents Jim and Rose Mason, brother Bo Mason (Lydia), sisters Loretta Kelley (Tony), Samantha Ayers (Chris), and Tabitha Cain (Mark), many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
