Emma Jo Shute, age 88, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington on February 29, 1932 to John and Lucille (King) Cross. Emma enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, sewing, and cooking for her family. She loved to travel with her husband, Raymond. She also loved her grandkids dearly. Emma was a really great person, and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Emma is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Shute, daughters, Becky (Richie) Shields and Kathy Bundy, sons Jack Nickless, Gary (Rebecca) Nickless, and Terry (Brenda) Shute, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Emma was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack A. Nickless, grandchildren, Kari Collins and Mark Bundy, and great-granddaughter, Morgan Clensy.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
