Frances Ellen (Girdley) Lentz, age 94, of Unionville, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was born in Bedford, Indiana on December 16, 1925 to Opal and Clara (Morris) Girdley. Frances enjoyed reading, coloring, caring for animals, and she loved to work in her yard. Most of all, she enjoyed traveling with her sister and sewing. Frances was a member of Little Union Baptist Church in Unionville, Indiana.
Frances is survived by her son, Robert Lentz (Lori), daughters, Diana Young (Herman), Mary Lou Gallagher (David), and CarolMae Stiteler (John), daughters-in-law, Cheryl Retz and Kay Bastin, grandchildren, Sheri Sullivan, Aaron Young, and Phillip Lentz (Dasha), great-grandchildren, Ryan Lentz and Alicia Headly, great-great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Derek Lentz, and Brenden Williams, sister, JoAnn Shields, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Eugene Lentz, sons, Michael and Donald Lentz, son-in-law, David Gallagher, brother, Frank Girdley, and sister, Bessie Heimann.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Unionville Cemetery, 5511 N. Brummetts Creek Road Bloomington, Indiana 47408.
