Obituary for Sharon McDaniel
Sharon E. McDaniel, 73, of Bloomington passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at her granddaughter’s residence. Sharon was born Sunday, December 22, 1946 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Steven I. and Lois V. (Fleener) Rush. Sharon was a graduate of Bloomington High School and also received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
Sharon was a florist for over 30 years, a former volunteer at the Middleway House, and was a long time supporter of the Harey Hopper’s 4-H Rabbit Club. She was baptized at Woodhaven Christian Church.
Survivors include her son Mick J. McDaniel and his wife Anne (Leinenbach) McDaniel; son-in-law, S. Brad Hamm; sister, Barbara (Polley) Spriggs and her husband Billiam Spriggs; 2 grandchildren, Jessica E. (Hamm) Underwood and her husband Devon Underwood, Stephen J. Hamm and his wife Sara Hamm; 6 great grandchildren, Lydia E. Underwood, Samuel D. Underwood, Grifinn C. Hamm, Tahlen R. Hamm, Adalynn E. Hamm, and Anna G. Hamm; and her former husband, Larry J. McDaniel.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, N. Shawn (McDaniel) Hamm; and 2 sisters, Mary Jo Rush and Leslie Heavin.
Visitation for Sharon will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 12 pm until 2 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Services and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery will be private.
Donations in Sharon’s memory may be given to the Harey Hoppers 4-H Rabbit Club (7898 W. Howard Road., Bloomington, IN 47404) or the Monroe County Humane Association.
