Obituary for Mary Lou Meadows

Mary Lou Meadows, 86, formerly of Bloomington and Naples, Fla., passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her residence in Indianapolis. She was surrounded by her loving family. Mary Lou was born September 11, 1933 in Bloomington, IN and was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Ada (Neal) Browning.
Mary Lou was a graduate of Bloomington High School and worked at Monroe County Bank for 25 years in many different capacities. Her co-workers and customers loved her happy, positive outlook.
She was an active member of Tri Kappa, and loved travel, cooking, and shopping. She was an excellent card player, and continued to enjoy that throughout her life. Most of all, Mary Lou loved her friends and family.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband Donald Leroy Meadows; son Martin “Marty” Meadows and wife Melinda; daughter, Cathy Bowerman; 4 grandchildren: Heather Harbert (Justin), Shane Meadows (Angie), Ryan Bowerman, Tori Bowerman, and 3 great-grandchildren: Lily Harbert, Violet Harbert, and Quentin Harbert; and also her sister Sara Feuerbach.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and sister Joan Ping.
Visitation for Mary Lou will be at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E 3rd St., Bloomington, IN on Thursday, July 30, from 11-1 with the service to follow. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, IN.
