Obituary for Honey E. Baldwin (Fisher)

Honey E. Baldwin, 93, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 29, at Garden Villa.
Honey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 24, 1926, to the late William and Gladys Fisher. Honey married William R. Baldwin on August 16, 1946, enjoying 68 years of marriage until Bill’s passing in 2014. Honey was in her element as a mother and wife supporting Bill’s career as Dean at multiple Optometry schools around the country. Together, they resided in Bloomington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Texas, and finally back to Bloomington to enjoy their retirement and to be with family.
Honey is survived by her daughter, Leslie Bloom, of Florida; her sister, Billie Jean Fisher, of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Kelly Smith of Bloomington, Karen Weesner of Sheridan, IN, Shawn Bloom of Boston, MA, Michael Bloom, of Boston, MA, and David Bloom, of Florida. Honey is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Honey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William R. Baldwin, her daughter Linda M. (Baldwin) Smith, and her son-in-law, Samuel O. Smith.
A private family service for Honey will be held on Wednesday, September 2, at New Palestine Cemetery.
Honey and her family would like to thank Meadowood, Jill’s House, Garden Villa, and First United Methodist Church for their outstanding care and support.
