Obituary for Andy P. Vestuto

Andy P. Vestuto, was born June 4, 1959, in Lake Luzerne, New York, son of Anthony Andrew “Tony” Vestuto and Patricia Ruth (Payne) Vestuto. He spent his childhood years in Normal, Illinois and moved with his family to Bloomington, Indiana in 1971. He graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1977, and then headed south to drive combine harvesters in Kansas and Texas and work on oil rigs off the coast of Louisiana. He returned to Indiana and attended Vincennes University to study Surveying. He worked ten years as a Union Carpenter, then eighteen years for Gene Glick Company (Woodbridge Apartments in Bloomington).

Andy was an outdoor enthusiast and loved camping, hiking, caving, astronomy, and driving his Jeep. He loved animals his entire life and will be missed by his fur babies, Max and Missy.

Andy was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of 2019 and passed away at home on September 29th, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Tony Vestuto, and is survived by his loving wife, Donna Frye Vestuto; his sister, Anne Vestuto (and her husband, Nathan Montoya); his nephew, Adrian Montoya; his brother, Jon Vestuo (and his wife, Cathie Vestuto); his step-daughter, Tara Chambers; step-grandchildren, Preston, Ashton, and Jayden; and his cousin, Rick Benson.

Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on Monday at Burgoon Cemetery, with Harold Godsey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the ASPCA, IU Hospice House, or Burgoon Cemetery Fund.
