Mona Ruth Mobley, 88, of Bloomington, passed away on October 28, 2020 in Sarasota, FL where she resided for the past year and a half. She was born February 4, 1932 in Bloomington, IN to the late Roy and Dorothy (Deckard) Norman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Mobley and her daughter, Pamela.
Mona had been a member of Liberty Church of Christ in Ellettsville, Indiana and besides caring for her family, she enjoyed cooking and baking, sewing, traveling, bowling and playing cards with friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melanie Griffin and her husband Joey of Sarasota, Fl; son Barry Mobley and his wife Lori of Memphis, TN; sister, Carol Fowler of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Brittany Gillespie (Ryan), Joshua Griffin (Amanda), Dan Mobley (Lindsey), Caroline Mobley (Derek Darnell) and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 East Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 7 at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Indiana. Mona’s son, Barry, will be officiating the service.
