Obituary for Stellina Sue Whitaker (Rush)
Stellina Sue Whitaker, 81, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at IU Health Hospice House.
Born, March 19, 1939 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Mary Ellen (Durnil) Rush.
Sue had many different jobs over the years to support her family, but her passion was her clients and their hair styles. She adored being a hair stylist and the friendships she made along the way.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed being with family and friends. However, her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was most important to her. She attended City Church for All Nations.
Survivors include one daughter, Tomi Sue Whitaker of Bloomington, one granddaughter, Marissa Eleane Whitaker of Franklin, two sisters, Judy Rader and Trudy Litz (Mark) all of Bloomington, nieces and nephews, Mandy Floyd (Nathan), Jayme Lane (Conan), Jim Livingston (Claudell), and Mark Livington, great-nieces and nephews, Alyssa Livingston, Rob Livingston, Lucy Floyd, Sophia Floyd, Colten Lane and Landon Brayden Lane.
Sue was preceded in death by her son, Trent Reed Whitaker (2006).
A memorial service will be 1:00pm Monday, November 9, 2020 at City Church for All Nations, 1200 N. Russell Rd. Bloomington, IN 47408.
The family will receive friends from 12-1pm Monday at City Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to IU Health Hospice House or to City Church for All Nations.
