Obituary for Danny Joe Porter Jr.
Danny Joe Porter Jr., 49, of Bloomington passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born, June 28, 1971 in Bloomington, he was the son of Danny Joe Porter Sr. and Judy E. (Cox) Porter.
Danny was a loving son and brother who enjoyed boating, traveling, and watching and attending Chicago Cubs games.
He was a Senior Systems Developer at Indiana University.
Survivors include his mother, Judy E. Porter, siblings, Kathy E. Jones, William J. Aynes Jr., Larry W. Aynes, and Tonya L. Moore, his partner, Eric LaPointe, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, niece, Ashley Flanders, and grandparents, Delia Young, Ralph and Sylvia Porter.
A graveside service will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel, with Pastor Nick Defore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to The Funeral Chapel, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401.
