Words fall short in describing the sorrow that comes from losing such a wonderful person like Mark. He has been my dear friend since I can remember. This world could learn a lot from his character and genuineness and from his kindness and goodness to all he met. He was a gentle giant. We shared many good times and talks together throughout the years. He was someone that anyone could count on. His love for his family was immeasurable. Especially for his precious girls and grandkids. They were truly blessed to have that kind of love. His devotion to his mom is the kind rarely seen. He will be greatly missed and this world won’t be the same without him here. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and all who knew and loved him. I do find some comfort in knowing that he is in heaven and that someday we will see him again.
Sincerely
Sylvia Franklin

My sincere condolences, Mark was a kind and congenial person. I didn't know him well but whenever I was leaving school and we crossed paths he would always be friendly and engage me in a short conversation. He always had a positive outlook on things and I enjoyed our short talks. I will miss him.

I am sadden to learn of Mark's passing. I cherish the memories, when our paths crossed, through out the years. I enjoyed
our conversations during those times. I wish I could visited this morning but with our pandemic has made that difficult.
My heart and thoughts are with all of you during this time.

I didn't know Mark well, but the few conversations I did have with him were so positive and enjoyable. He was very kind and friendly, and easy to talk with. It was a pleasure to bump in to him in the halls of BHSN when I was working too late at school again and again. As great as Mark was to a relative stranger, I know his loved ones are hurting immensely in his absence. Love and condolences are never enough, but my thoughts are certainly with you. Take care.

Mark and I shared a love of cartoons. He loved coming in to my classroom to read the cartoons on my wall and chat with me about them. He had a great sense of humor and I always enjoyed our talks at the end of my day. He loved to tell me about his family and always had a fun story to tell. The last time I saw Mark was just a few days before he died, we were hanging out in the cafeteria. I was watching kids that were studying in there and he was assigned to help clean up at the end of the day. He was telling me about his Mom and how grateful he was to be able to have her around. He said that he worried about her because, due to the pandemic, she wasn't able to socialize with friends and he encouraged her to talk to her friends on the phone. During that conversation, I remember thinking that he was one of the sweetest guys I knew. I will miss Mark and our little chats at the end of the school day. He always made me smile. Mark never knew a stranger.

I am so sorry for your loss,
Angie Cannon
