Obituary for Ronald Keith Stephens
Ronald Keith Stephens, 87, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at The Waters of Martinsville Nursing Home. Ronald was born July 27, 1933 in Bloomington and was the son of the late John and Clara (Polley) Stephens. Ronald retired from RCA and was also a farmer. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and attended Mt. Zion Assembly of God and Westside Assembly of God Churches.
Ronald is survived by his son, David (Stephanie) Stephens, of Bloomington; 2 grandchildren, Caitlyn Stephens and Jordan (Jennifer) Stephens; and one great grandson, Jace Stephens; brothers, John Stephens and Kenneth Stephens and sister Glodene Floyd.
He was preceded in death by wife Mary A. Stephens (2019), his parents and 6 sisters, Mary Blackwell, Nora Henderson, Pauline Deckard, Goldie Black, Opal Baxter, Edna Baxter, and Pearl Fleener.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions Ronald’s services will be restricted to family and close friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 11 am until 1 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard. Services will follow at 1 pm Thursday. Ronald will be buried by his wife at Garrison Chapel Cemetery.
