Obituary for Mary Frances Scofield (Tobias)

Mary Frances (Tobias) Scofield, 96, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her residence in Gentry Park.
Born, September 27, 1924 in Brownstown, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Ophia (Charles) Tobias.
Mary was proud that she was the first lady hired to work in the factory at Cummins Engine in Columbus.
She and her late husband of 58 years, Robert E. Scofield were former residents of Columbus, Indiana, and Madeira Beach, Florida.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Scofield of Clearwater, FL; Doug Scofield (RaeLee) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Randy Scofield (Jeanie) of Columbus, and Jeff Scofield (Mike Duncan) of Bloomington, grandchildren, Minta Johnson of Frisco, TX; Zach Scofield of Lansing MI; Sommer Scofield of Hope, IN; and Leslie Wilson of Columbus, and seven great-grandchildren.
Mary was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Beulah Robertson, sister, Jean McIntosh, and brother, Roy Tobias.
A private family graveside service will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus on a later date.

The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
