Obituary for Clarabell (Hawley) McClung Hendricks
Clarabell (Hawley) McClung Hendricks, 101, of Bloomington, passed away, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central in Columbus, Indiana.
Born August 16, 1919 in Illinois, she was the daughter of Charles and Abbie Pearl (Lincicome) Hawley.
Clarabell first married Isaac “Ross” McClung on October 28, 1939 and he preceded her in death September 15, 1985. She then married Earl Hendricks on December 19, 1992 and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1994.
Clarabell retired from Indiana University Health Center after many years of service. She was also a beautician at the beauty shop in Unionville for most of her life. Clarabell was a huge IU basketball fan all of her life, she enjoyed playing euchre and bingo in her free time. She attended Bridge Church of Christ and was a member of Unionville Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kylie (Jonathan) Waggoner; her two great-granddaughters, Abbie and Meghan Waggoner, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son, Lowell McClung; brother, Raymond Hawley; twin sister, Loisnell Stevens; and sister, Lucille Waggoner.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Bridge Cemetery in Unionville.
