Obituary for Joy Elaine Terrell
Joy Elaine (Sherlock) Terrell, 58, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 23, 1962 she was the daughter of David E. and Evelyn F. (Eads) Sherlock.
She married Doug Terrell on April 24, 1999 and he survives.
Joy was a Director of Pharmacy at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. She was a 1985 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacology. Joy attended Higher Ground United Pentecostal Church in French Lick. Joy loved to read, play Words with Friends with her dad everyday and enjoyed the company of her two dogs, Oliver and Kenzi. Joy was always thinking of other people.
Survivors include her father, David; husband, Doug; brother, J. Nathan Sherlock, M.D. (Larry); sister, Janette L. Milbourn; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Terrell; sister-in-law, Denise E. Johnson (Chris); nieces and nephews, Greg May, Chad May, Morgan Rediger, Justin Milbourn, Korryn Barrow, and Laura Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn; sister, Marlene May; and a nephew, Chris May.
Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
