Obituary for Freda "Carol" Elliott

Freda “Carol” Elliott, 63, of Bloomington passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 10, 1957 in Albany, Kentucky she was the daughter of Delmar E. and Mable (Walden) Braswell.
She married Charles Dale Elliott on April 16, 1989 and he survives.
Carol loved to get dressed up to go dance and sing karaoke. She also loved to play bingo. Carol’s smiling face could be seen at Bloomington Walmart where she was an associate for nearly 22 years. Everyone who knew her knew she loved her bling. She was a member at the Bloomington Moose Lodge #1081 and attended Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Chuck” Elliott; four sons, Joe Harold York, Jr., Marvin Dewayne (Kelly) York, Matthew Lee York, Joshua Neal York; one brother, Jeffery Braswell; nine grandchildren, Shane Michael Rodman, Kendra Lynn Taylor, Abagail Lynn York, Tristan Kevin Thomas Buck, Jaiden Neal York, Sebastian Gabriel Buck, James Scott Moore, Keith Andrew Brown, Ryleigh Nicole Brown; three great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, and two step-sons, James Michael Elliott and Charles Leroy Elliott.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating. Burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
