I am so sorry to hear of Susanne's passing. I first met Susanne 25 years ago when I was the coordinator for our county's early intervention program. Susanne was always a willing volunteer when I needed someone to assist with developmental screenings. I have a beautiful picture that she made for me when I retired, a spectacular quilt pattern made of meticulously folded bits of paper. I cherish this piece of art and I cherish our time together. My condolences to the family. She will be greatly missed here in Brown County.

I'm sick to read of Susanne's passing! We'd lost touch in recent years as I cared for my husband with Alzheimers, and then, this, year, as we all remained isolated with the pandemic. But in the time we were in connection, she was such a shining light in my life, her home a magical place that transformed my own less vibrant world. Entering her cabin, for me, was entering a world where heart-nourished creativity --nourished by her love of nature and found objects -- knew few bounds. And I was beyond grateful for her sharing of her treasures with a friend. There was another thing too: Susanne had a deeply spiritual nature, which connected her art, always, to something deeper. My heart aches, knowing she is no longer with us.
