Obituary for Michael Wayne "Mike" Baker

Michael Wayne “Mike” Baker, 66, of Bloomington went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born July 7, 1954 in Bedford, Indiana to Charles E. Baker and Bonnie (Flynn) Parker. Mike worked for Gates Lear Jet in Tucson, Arizona and later PTS Electronics where he worked in maintenance and shipping. Mike had also served as Associate Pastor at Westside Pentecostal Church.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl (Wright) Baker; two daughters, Rachel (Steve) Brannam and Leah (Chad) Pante; mother, Bonnie Parker; step mother, Karen (Hatton) Baker; grandchildren, Jesse and Kelcie Thompson, William Gregory, Austin Gregory, Cali Starks, and Preston Baker; one great grandson, Kain Thompson; two sisters, Tracy Holland and Cheryl Parker; and 5 brothers, Wyatt, Bruce, Richard, Carl and Ronnie Baker.
Mike was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Danny Joe Baker and Steve Parker.
Visitation for Mike will be on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 11 am until 1 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard. Private services and burial at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery will follow. Due to Covid restrictions we can only have 25 people in the funeral home at one time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s memory can be made to his family.
