Obituary for Margie Helen Hillenburg (Smith)
Margie Helen Hillenburg, 81, of Heltonville passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Born, September 23, 1939 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Esta May (Kinser) Smith.
Margie was a member of Burgoon Baptist Church and a former member of the Old Chapel Hill Church where she loved her music ministry.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed reading, crocheting, and singing.
Survivors include three sons: David Hillenburg (Karen) of Norman, Dwayne Hillenburg (Lisa), and Dennis Hillenburg (Tricia) all of Bedford. Four grandchildren: Andrew Hillenburg (Jackie), Becca Reynolds (Adam), Jacobi Hillenburg and Jareb Hillenburg. Great-grandchildren: Dean Hillenburg, Lilly Hillenburg, Athalia Reynolds, Warren Reynolds, and Brianna Reynolds.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Phillip Hillenburg (2013) and siblings, Russell Smith, Paul Smith, Frieda Smith, and Maxine Eads.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at Burgoon Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Knightridge Cemetery.
