Obituary for Margery Jean Lee (Blank)
Margery Jean Lee, 98, of Bloomington and formerly of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Meadowood Health Pavilion.
Margery was born October 8, 1922 in Decatur, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Ronald Lee, her parents, S.H. “Joker” and Mary Blank, her brothers, Donald and Jarl Blank, her sisters, Joyce Dawson and Jackie Perillo, and three sons, John, James and Patrick Lee.
Margery was a stay at home mom until her oldest children were out of the house. She worked 11 years at Crane N.A.D. Margery’s faith was most important in her life. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Olney, IL; and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Bloomington, Indiana.
Margery is survived by five children, Tom (Susan) Lee, Joe (Bess) Lee, Bob (Mariam) Lee, Maria Lee and Kim “Buster” Lee. Also surviving are her sister, DeeAnn (Lelan) Russell, nine grandchildren, Sasha Meyer, Samantha Lee, Rachel Lee, Brandon Lee, Heidar Fadae, Esmail Fadae, Jacob Lee, Shannon Russell, Joshua Lee and three great- grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass for Margery will be celebrated 10:00am Friday, April 16, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, IL. Burial next to her husband will follow. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s School Fund.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington, IN is handling local arrangements.
