Obituary for Anita Marie Andre (Russell)
Anita Marie Andre, 51, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her residence.
Born March 26, 1969 in Massena, NY, she was the daughter of Dennis L. and Linda Diane Russell.
Anita was a sweet and beautiful soul who always had a smile for those she met. When she was young, she was energetic and outgoing and acted as a caring big sister for her two younger sisters. As she grew older, she never lost her upbeat attitude even while facing significant mental and physical health challenges. Anita liked to go shopping, see her family, and care for her cat. She loved fashion and participated in the local event known as "trashion."
Her family has attended the First United Methodist Church in Ellettsville.
Survivors include her son, Justin, her granddaughter, Ane; her grandson, Ethan; her two sisters, Jennifer Koerner and Lisa Harkin; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
A graveside service will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens starting at 2:30 pm.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Mental Health America of Monroe County.
