Obituary for Jessica Gail Lauree Bixler

Jessica Gail Lauree Bixler, 21, of Owensburg, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021
Jessica was born May 26, 1999 in Bloomington and was the daughter of Amanda (Miller) Mosier and Clay Bixler, and worked at the Owen County Humane Society fulfilling one of her life’s passions of helping animals.
Jessica had a big heart and loved anything that involved dogs or any kind of animal. She was a great friend, always cheery and trying to make people laugh with a little bit of a stubborn side. It was not uncommon for her to open up her home to anyone that needed help. She was a wonderful big sister that was not afraid to speak her opinions even if it wasn’t the popular one. Her grandparents described her as a flower that always made you smile.
Jessica is survived by her mother and step-father, Amanda and Jason Mosier; father, Clay Bixler; siblings, Wyatt Mosier, Austin Bixler, Brayton Mosier, and Shon Carter; grandparents, Alta Parker, Jim Hollars, Donnie and Anita Miller and Tannie Childress; aunts, Ashley Miller, and Sue Mosier; uncles, Corbin Bixler, Aaron Mosier, and Jonathon Miller; niece, Elvys Spencer; nephew, Mateo Bixler; and cousins, Kayla Bixler, Corbin Bixler, Gavin Pettyjohn, Ethan and Isaac Mosier, Kyla Sims, Yanay and Selah Honeycutt and many more family and friends too numerous for this space.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Cole Bixler; boyfriend, Mason George; paternal grandfather, Ed Bixler; and uncle, R.K. Mosier.
Services for Jessica will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2600 E. Rogers Road Bloomington.
Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 pm until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Owen County Humane Society, 2014 Ramona Road Spencer, IN 47460.
