Obituary for Cole Edward Bixler

Cole Edward Bixler, 14 of Solsberry, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. Cole was born December 20, 2006 in Monroe County and was the son of Corbin Bixler and Tabitha (Root) Harmon.
Cole was in the 8th grade at Eastern Greene Middle School where he played football and was in the band. Cole loved making his family laugh and making funny jokes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, animals and cooking. He loved to read and eating his grandma’s strawberry cake.
Cole is survived by his parents; Tabitha Harmon, and Corbin (Jamie) Bixler; siblings, Kayla Bixler, Corbin Bixler, Liam Bixler, Luke Bixler, Lane Bixler, Mark Aiden Thompson, and Isaiah Stout, Haley Hobbs and Ashley Hobbs; grandparents, Sherry (David) Flake, Tannie Childress, Glen Ritz, Donnie and Anita Miller, Alta Parker, and Jim Hollars; great grandparents, Theresa Flake and Janet Parton; foster family, Amanda and Jason Mosier, Austin Bixler, Wyatt Mosier, Brayton Mosier, Shon Carter, and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cole was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Root and Ed Bixler; sister, Mackenzie Bixler; cousin Jessica Bixler; great grandparents, Marie and Charles Kelly.
Services for Cole will be 2 pm Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Funeral Chapel.
Masks will be required, social distancing and local Covid-19 protocols will be followed.
