Linda Rose Merriman, age 79, of Bloomington, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was born on October 22, 1941 in Martinsville, Indiana to Paul and Rosemary (Unversaw) Hatten. Linda graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1959. She worked at Heritage Apartments and at RCA in Bloomington. Linda’s most important job was being Mom, which she cherished immensely. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and going out to eat with her husband, Richard. Linda loved attending and singing at New Unionville Baptist Church, where she was a member. She had a beautiful singing voice. Linda loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Merriman, sons, Rusty Merriman, Randy Merriman (Alicia), and Timothy Merriman (Susan), daughter, Teresa Wilbur (Jeff), grandchildren, Heather Wilbur, Amber Wilbur (Calvin), Chandler Merriman, Elizabeth Merriman, Aaliyah Merriman, Hanna Merriman, Landon Merriman, Abigail Merriman, Mary Matthews (Troy), Jeffery Hartman, and Elizabeth Bradley (David), great-granddaughter, Rose Marie Langfitt, and a great-grandbaby on the way, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Hatten.
Friends and family will be received from noon until 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at New Unionville Baptist Church, 6020 E. State Road 45 Bloomington, Indiana.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at New Unionville Baptist Church.
