Obituary for Phyllis Marie Fraser
Phyllis Marie Fraser, 91, of Bloomington, passed away, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 23, 1929 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Thomas and Nina Ruth (Dupree) Lavender.
Phyllis was a Bloomington High School graduate class of 1947. She retired from RCA after 11 years. She married Ronald Fraser on February 18, 1966 and he survives.
Phyllis was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She spent most of her free time at BFS bible studies. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; two sons, Jeff Alwine and Tim (Susie) Alwine; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Thomas Alwine; two daughters, Jill Elizabeth Alwine and Sandra Pegg.
Visitation for Phyllis will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 1-3pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 600 W 6th St, Bloomington, IN 47404.
