Obituary

Henry Harrison “Bud” Baugh, age 87, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. Bud was born in Bloomington on April 20, 1934 to Otto and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Corbin) Baugh. Bud retired as a welder from Otis Elevator, and was a Trustee and Elder for several years at Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville. He loved the outdoors, mushroom hunting, bird watching, swimming in the quarry, and riding motorcycles. Bud and his wife, Irene, enjoyed traveling and sightseeing around the United States, especially in the southern states where they would visit different plantations. Bud loved his family dearly, and adored his children and grandchildren. He taught his kids many life lessons, but none more important than how to be independent. His lessons will still be taught after his passing. Bud will be laid to rest on his 67th wedding anniversary.
Bud is survived by his wife, Irene (Ooley) Baugh, children, Terri Languell, Dee Dee Southern (Kenny), Cathi Johnson (Greg), and Hank Baugh (Angie), grandchildren, Kylan Richardson (Amber), Eric Richardson, James Southern (Meredith), Chad Southern (Allison) Barry Southern, William Johnson, Shaylah Hammock (Bo), Ben Tanner Hammock, Ashley Thomas (Chet), Brad Baugh (Candace), Andrew Baugh (Kendra), Amanda Dunaway (Randy), Kelsie West, Jaden Baugh, Tommy Baugh, Allison Baugh, Alexis Baugh, Malachi Baugh, Matthew Baugh, and Lori Hoffman, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, twin grandsons, Michael and Andrew Hammock, grandson, Austin Baugh, great-granddaughter, Adalyn Elaine Gerhard, infant brother, George Baugh, brothers, Fred and Bill Sears, and sisters, Mary Wilcox, Carol Eads, and Dorothy Scott.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 and from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
