Obituary for Shirley Ann McClaren

Shirley Ann McClaren, 73, of Bloomington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born December 12, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Henry and Lucille (Ramsey) Bartolomucci.
Shirley retired from Kroger where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of Little Union Baptist Church, and loved her flowers and gardening. Shirley was a photographer and took wedding photos and other pictures for many years as Shirley Studio. In later years she enjoyed quilting, crocheting and sewing at the Community Center.
Shirley married Raymond McClaren and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage before his passing in May 2020. Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Bartolomucci.
Shirley is survived b y her daughter, Kathie Renee McClaren; son Jason Raymond McClaren; 3 grandchildren Trey McClaren, Zoey McClaren and their mother Abbie Knight, and Raylee McClaren and her mother Brittany Wilson; sister, Carolyn (Harry) Pogue; brothers, David Bartolomucci, Bill (Debbie) Bartolomucci, and Abe Bartolomucci; and Lilly Lawson who lived with Raymond and Shirley for several years and was a special part of their family.
Visitation for Shirley will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 12pm until 2 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard.
Services will be 2 pm Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Burial will follow at Little Union Cemetery.
Donations in Shirley’s memory may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Stroke Association, or American Diabetes Association.
