Obituary for Barbara Sue Gilmore (Todd)
Barbara Sue Gilmore, 81, of Bedford, formerly of Bloomington passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at her residence.
Born, November 18, 1939 in Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Malicoat) Todd.
She retired as the secretary to the Dean, School of Optometry at Indiana University. She was a member of the Woodhaven Christian Church in Bloomington.
Sue was a loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Robert H. “Bob” Gilmore (Stacy) of Bedford, two granddaughters, Hannah Baker (Marty Denesha), and Bailee Gilmore (Brandt Callahan), two great-granddaughters, Pyper Lintz, and Penellope Denesha, and a brother, Bud Todd.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert Lee “Bob” Gilmore, and twin sister, Ann Bright.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Woodhaven Christian Church in Bloomington. Visitation will be from 2-5pm with a service at 5pm with Pastor Joe McAdams officiating.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the youth sports organization of your choice. In memory of Bob and Sue Gilmore.
