Obituary for David R. Fell

David Ross Fell, President of BG Hoadley Quarries, died on August 4, 2021 in Bloomington Indiana at the age of 59. He was born to parents Bert and Patsy Fell on September 19, 1961. He graduated from Bloomington High School South, where he was a member of the football and wrestling team. He also graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Marketing, and was an avid and lifelong LSU fan, He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.

He was survived by wife Cheryl Robinson Fell and children Lauren Fell Roberts (Landon), David Garrett Fell (Haley), and Carleigh Fell Tully (John). He is also survived by 3 grand children, Hudson William Roberts, Brooks Dane Roberts, and Anderson David Fell.

He is also survived by his mother, Patsy Fell-Barker (Bob Barker), his brother, Bert (Chip) Hoadley Fell, Jr. (Jeannie), and his sister Laura Fell Mullen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is pre-deceased by his father, Bert Hoadley Fell, and a brother in law, Patrick Mullen.

David successfully led a multigenerational limestone business for over 35 years. A hallmark of his tenure was his ability to develop both business and personal relationships that benefited all parties.

He served on the Boards of the Indiana Limestone Institute and the ASI (Allied Stone Institute)

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2700 East Rogers Road, Bloomington, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 10am-12:30pm, and the service at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in David’s honor to your local Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
