Obituary for Ashley P. Miller
Ashley Pearl Miller, 36, of Bloomington passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, September 27, 2021 at her residence. Ashley was born August 3, 1985 in Greencastle, Indiana and was the daughter of Donnie and Anita (McPeak) Miller.
Ashley was a homemaker and cleaned houses. Her son Gavin was her world and she loved to spend time with him more than anything. She enjoyed cats, flea markets, being outdoors and around water, and music. She was also an advocate for people that were experiencing depression and anxiety and other’s less fortunate. Besides her son, she had many nieces and nephews that she also adored.
Ashley is survived by her son Gavin Pettyjohn; parents, Donnie and Anita Miller; fiancé, Jeff Moore and his children, Justin Moore, Austin Moore, Tyler Moore and Ryan Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Jason Mosier and their children, Wyatt Mosier, Corbin Bixler, Austin Bixler, Brayton Mosier, Mikayla Bixler and Shon Carter Jr.; brother Jonathan Miller and his children, Selah Honeycutt, Yanay Honeycutt and Kyla Sims; grandmother, Alice Black; aunt, Shirley Griffith; uncle, Ralph Miller and many more aunts and uncles.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfather, Herbert Black; niece, Jessica Bixler; and nephew, Cole Bixler.
Services for Ashley will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2021 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Sister Cheryl Crum will officiate the service and burial will follow at Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ashley’s memory may be given to The Funeral Chapel to assist the family with expenses.
