Obituary for Lynne Marie Frye
Lynne Marie (Ridge) Frye, 64, of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 1, 2021 at IU Health Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 6, 1957 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Jerry Max Ridge and Georgia Ann Whaley. Lynne graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1975 before going onto graduate from IU Radiology in 1978. From there, Lynne went on to work at St. Francis in Beech Grove from 1978-1990, and later furthered her career at IU Health Bloomington Hospital in the Interventional Radiology department, for 31 years.
She was happily married to her husband, Jack A. Frye for 31 years, and he survives.
Lynne loved boating, football, and was an avid IU basketball fan.
She was a Grammie to Bailey and Adam Wasson, who she adored and loved spending time with.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Kristi Tanksley Wasson; son, Bradley Frye; grandchildren, Bailey and Adam Wasson; sister, Lori (Mike) Ridge Fulton; brother, David Ridge; mother-in-law, Norma Frye; sister-in-law, Sue Vestuto; brother-in-law, Rick (Linda) Miller; nieces, Malissa (Aaron) Walters, Katie Fulton and Cassie (Matt) Oliver; nephew, James (Kate) Ridge; and great-nieces, Olivia Ridge and Riley Jo Walters.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Virgil Frye and her niece, Carly Fulton.
Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday, October 4, 2021, and from 11am until 12pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 12:00pm at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kyle Crafton officiating. Burial will follow at Burgoon Cemetery in Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burgoon Cemetery.
